AV Coordinator
As AV Coordinator, I’ve lead a small group of volunteers to produce and record events and celebrations at Providence UMC. With supporting presentations for each Sunday service, what started as just audio recordings of the sermons, has led to livestreamed video productions and specifically mixed audio for both present and distant audiences.
Live Streaming
Beginning in May 2016, I implemented the hardware and software needed to livestream the service each week. Along with Sunday services, weddings, events and conferences have also been broadcast from Providence’s Sanctuary.
Stewardship Series
Each year, since 2017 the Stewardship program has worked with AV to put together a collection of interviews, pictures, and videos for a short series to be shown to the congregation. These short documentaries describe how giving helps in ways members may not have known.
Celebration of Life, and Memorial Video Slideshows
Custom made video slideshows from a collection of photos, set to live or recorded music. No automatic content generation from a set of pictures. For each video, I custom format each included photo to celebrate the person we have gathered to remember.
I haven’t included any examples to honor the families’ privacy, but the Church hosts the videos privately online for the families to view.
